How much money will I need for backpacking around Mexico for 3 weeks?
Please if someone could give me a rough estimate in sterling how much money is need for backpacking through Mexico (accommodation and pocket money) I'm starting in Mexico City and ending in Cancun although I would avoid places of extreme tourism. Obviously I know this depends on whether I stay in elegant hotels or hostels, but only a rough estimate of how to mix the two. I Jan / Feb. Many thanks!
Dont pay attention to counting youthings type to be afraid. I recommend to take about $ 5000 Americans. This is to cover food, lodging, transportation, meals, some beverages and souvenirs. I think that is perfect for 15 days. Just be careful, do not go to places deserts, stay witha group of people, Dont Speak with stargers walking the streets, not going aways with unknown people and take care of yourself! I'm sure he'll have to curse Mexico is a fun place so beautiful and people are super friendly! Good luck!
